WHAT BREED IS THIS GROCERY STORE CHICK?

It was awesome, you made me laugh so hard, I loved it!❤
This little chick is really a character! He was the only one that hatched out of the six store eggs that were incubated, two went to lock down. He only has one hatch mate, a little silver laced Orpington and I have the two of them in a converted chinchilla cage in my living room right now. He is very much imprinted on me. I have to keep him next to me all day otherwise he chirps all day long! I work from home doing mostly phone calls and I have to keep him right next to me at my desk or he’ll chirp so loud that the people on the other end of the phone will hear it! He’s already figured out how to jump on top of the brooder plate, so he can see me better. It’s really very sweet🤣 His little hatch mate does not seem to be as attached to me, funny how that worked out when they hatched pretty much at the same time in the same incubator!😊
I know it was silly....but .... grocery store .... and yellow chick = PEEP in my mind.

My inner 5 year old made me do it.

UPDATE: Well Frankie actually ended up being a female. 18 weeks old now.Feathered in completely white though it’s a pale cream color and not a pure white. She should be laying any day, just started squatting.
Never heard back from the egg producer but I am still assuming she is a second generation red sex link, likely Rhode Island red and white rock.😊

aw, thanks for the update! She's so pretty!

So if you breed 2 sex links, I know they don't make another sex link because they don't breed true & you won't know it's sex by it's color - so is it a just considered a mix at that point?
Yes it would be a mix at this point. Sex link only is valid for the first generation.😊
Technically there’s no such thing as second generation sex link but that’s my way of defining what her parentage is.😊
