What breed is this hen?

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me identify the breed of this hen. I estimate she is about 9 months old. Has been laying for the past 4-5 months. She is very skittish...and unfortunately (because I don't have a rooster) very broody. Her wattle and comb and very small but her face goes bright red when she is going to lay. I was thinking a RIR cross something? Thanks

Looks like a nice girl. Golden Sex Link? That's my wild guess.

The colors look similar... but If this hen was a sex link, it'd be an interesting one... red sex links (aka red stars, cinnamon queens, red buffs, ect...) usually have large, single pointed combs (like RIRs).

The colors look similar... but If this hen was a sex link, it'd be an interesting one... red sex links (aka red stars, cinnamon queens, red buffs, ect...) have single pointed combs (like RIRs).

That depends on the breeds used in the crossing. Most hatchery sourced sex links are produced using single combed parent breeds, but parent breeds of any of the necessary color types (gold over silver, solid over barred) can be used and will result in sex links with characteristics outside what is found in commercially produced lines.
