I don't know if this is a Black Star or Black Astralourp.....

I would say she's an australorp. Usually BSLs have some copper leakage in the hackle area and bright orange eyes. If she starts developing that, then she'd be a BSL.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on Cyan Night; she's a Black Australorp. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years, and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.
