What breed is this packing peanut?

Here is one of my SLW girls at about 11 weeks old.

But yes, like everyone else said, he/she is a SLW. Very pretty and cute!

I tried to find pics of the SLW girls younger than 11 weeks because I knew yours was, Kelly, but I guess I need to upload some to photobucket. Two of my three SLWs in my original flock died this year to internal laying. I do have two newbies who are laying age now to make Violet feel she isn't all alone.

I say that you have an SLW pullet. At 7 week old, my roos all had big bright red combs.

silkieluver_07 could be right. A week or so will help some, in being more certain. What a stroke of luck to get a girly packing peanut! Sure hope that's the case here.

I am soooo smart!

I might not be able to sex a chicken until it crows or lays...but I knew what Kel's packing peanut was the day she got it!

...hmmm...maybe she'll believe me next time?...hahaha

Was she gray or black as a chick? I have 5 SLW pullets that are a couple days old. 4 of them are black with very little white and then one is marbled gray/white/black. They're all so sweet.

Glad yours turned out to be a girl. I got one Buff Rock (or some buff breed) pullet out of 9 packing peanuts, that is still 8 extra roosters
