What breed is this pullet?

Legs make me think EE, but the comb does not look typical for EE. I agree the coloring is similar to to Buff Brahma (beautiful birds) but just not sue about the comb, it looks to be a regular single comb type rather than the typical EE.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the comb, EEs have rosecombs, don't they? These two have single combs. Sooo weird...

Folks, EEs are just another nice name for Mutt. They can have any comb, any color, any color legs, muff or no muff, tuffs or tuffs, they are a mixed breed with Araucana somewhere in their ancestry. Period. There is no "normal" or "typical". Really.

Your right! and that is what makes them such a fabulous bird!

I totally agree on that. I have nothing against them whatsoever. Love 'em in fact. I have 3 eggs in the bator and 3 in my young flock that I hatched out last month. Some people just don't know this is not really a breed per se.

Oh I didn't think that you did, LOL, sorry if i sounded like I did, And your right again alot of people don't really know that they are just a mix, I hatched out 19 EE chicks 10 weeks ago and at least 14 of them look just like there daddy a light brahma, feathered feet and all and only one has a muff and beard, no green legs on any of them in fact I don't think anyone would guess that they were EEs until they layed there first egg. LOL I also have some that are Orpington mixed with my EE girls, they would also be hard to tell. So like you said there is no typical or norm when it comes to EEs.

if that chicken lays any color of green shelled egg, i will be very surprised. you all are just looking at a color pattern. I don't know what it is, but i know what it isn't. i suspect buff orpington and australorp cross.
