This rooster is loose in my neighborhood for years, but here lately he has been coming around. He is a beautiful Rooster, and my ladies love him. They can't get to him because of the run has a netting to keep them in and predators out. I love his calm demeanor, and he is a beautiful rooster; however I'd rather get my own of the same breed. Please help me out.

If he's been coming around your flock, they've already been exposed to each other. He's sweet and they like him, why not just keep him? It sounds as if he needs a home!

I don't know that it would be fair to fence him in when he's been free for years. That's why I'm hoping to find his breed. Hopefully someone knows what breed he is...

He'd probably take the fencing for access to the lovely ladies he's been courting. ;)

He appears to be a barnyard cross to me. Maybe buff Orpington cross??

If you do add a stag to your ladies that isn't him... the two will likely fight between the fence, causing injuries to both with NO winner. Plus there's no guarantee to demeanor with a new boy towards your ladies or you.

I'm voting for let him join your ladies! :fl
