Hello!
I was on vacation a bit ago and on my journey, I went a little ways to go to Plimouth Plantation. There was a small little flock of six hens and one very sweet rooster in the Pilgrim village.
I could identify the hens, for I am pretty good at breed guessing, but I absolutely flop at rooster breed identification. All I can say is that rose comb and spurs... my oh my. I have never seen a rooster comb that big. (edit: all of the hens were not the same breed as the roo- silver dorkings, Speckled Sussexes, and a Brahma mid-molt- no rose combs).
Here are the two best pictures I took of him:
Thanks in advance!
