I have one that looks like yours only mine is only about 7 weeks old and he has yellow legs. At first mine appeared to be a RIR but he is getting muffs and a beard. He is an Easter Egger or as I call him a backyard mutt!!!! He was in a group of 10 we got from a friend that had too many!! I have ended up with my little Egger guy, a Dominque Rooster and 8 Easter Egger females or at least that’s what I think they are but won’t know until they start laying.
A lot of people get them mixed up with the Amerucana. A true bred Amerucana will lay blue eggs but an Easter Egger will lay different color eggs (hence the name). I am no expert on this but I have looked up articles on the difference between the two and the chickens do look the same so you will know when the hens start laying.
