What breed is this rooster?

I’ve been taking care of this rooster for a couple of days, and I’m rehoming to a much better place than where he came from. I’m not sure of his age or breed so any help would be appreciated!

Mixed breed, poor guy looks like he's had a time of it.

He looks mixed to me also. He has yellow legs, so probably has some brahma in him. He will be gorgeous when his feathers grow back.

Mixed breed, poor guy looks like he's had a time of it.

He was attacked terribly by the hens in his coop at the barn he lived at (they actually thought he was dead). Thankfully he’s been showing great improvement and he seems like a happy guy now. His left eye is pretty messed up and I’ve been treating it with terramycin. Any treatment suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just looked that up and he looks pretty similar. Maybe that’s what he is!

He’d still be mixed though; his color pattern is slightly wrong by and his shanks are the wrong color.

I would not rehome him since the goopy eye could be a sign of a respiratory disease, such as MG. I would try to squeeze or get out the white material, and flush the eye with eye wash or saline before using the Terramycin eye ointment twice a day. Here is a video showing removing pus:
