What breed is this rooster?!

Can anyone tell me what breed this sweet boy is? He was given to us and is the absolute sweetest rooster ever!

My initial thought was blue Australorp, but the shank color is wrong.

He could potentially be a mix.

Is he a standard size?

That's what I thought, but this rooster has yellow shanks, while sapphire gems should have slate. Also, Sapphire Gem roosters have barring on their feathers so they're easily distinguishable from hens.

I'm probably wrong in a lot of ways though.

I would say so! It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but he’s a big boy
