I was recently given this chicken and was told it was a rooster. I was hoping to find out what kind it is and confirm it is a rooster. I put it with some hens and the hens have abused this poor guy horribly. I haven't heard it cluck or crow in the week that I have had it. Any ideas or suggestions?

He is an EE rooster with perhaps a strong Araucana influence. He's just a kid and the old biddies are keeping him in his place. It does not look as if they are physically harming him. He will eventually find his 'mojo'.

Easter Egger cockerel, and I agree with sourland that he is just finding his place in the flock and will eventually "rule the roost.")
