I was told that I was given three mystic Maran pullets but the man that was picking them out of the brooder for me seemed not 100% sure. They were in with black jersey giants. These two looked completely different from each other but are supposedly both Marans. Thoughts??

Mystic Marans are sexlinked with males Being Barred, & Females black.

If they have feathered feet (hard to tell w the red light), they are not Jersey Giant. Marans can have feathered feet.

If it’s a mystic Marans, it’s a rooster. If it’s a Cuckoo Marans or Barred rock, it could be a female.

I’m thinking they might have been mistaken and they were cuckoos.
