What breed is this?

We bought Rhode Island reds last year and my kids got to pick a chicken for them. We didn't write down their breeds and our daughter asked is what her chicken was... haha and we don't know. Any thoughts? Thank you so much!

I believe it is what Hoover Hatchery calls a 'Rainbow' chicken, a dual purpose hybrid. It could also just be a random mixed breed.

its Barred............. I don't know any further than that, but the barring is an unusual color............... does it lay blue eggs?

No, it lays a darker cream colored egg.
