Hi guys! My sister in law is giving me this young hen since she has too many for her coop and I'm unsure of her breed. This girly is near laying age and has a lot of attitude😂. Her name is Patrice and as far as personality goes, she's flighty an acts better than everyone else. Tbh, she's kind of a bully, that's another reason she's going in to my coop because my Brahmas won't put up with that lol. I finally talked my Mom into letting me keep her but there's the hitch in my giddyup. Barnyard mixes are neat and lovely birds but I put a lot of work into what I breed and I prefer to keep them pure or half and half so I don't want to have this hen lay tan eggs like my other hens and accidentally incubate them and have a ton of mixes. The lady gave us a list of breeds she has so I'm hoping she'll lay different color eggs! She has 2 roosters, one Icelandic and one Americauna/Australorp mix and for hens she has Americauna, easter egger, olive egger and one other common breed my sister in law can't remember. I'm definitely thinking Australorp with the grey legs/feet and the orange that bled through. She also got some Americaunas in the same batch that are the same grey color. Any insight would be helpful, thank you!

Sorry for the crappy photo quality, she had a hard time integrating with my flock so I didn't want to make her go in the run😬

I'd say ameraucana cross, I'd also say that the pea comb and small muffs would indicate that she probably inherited a blue egg gene too. That's not guaranteed though
Ooooh this makes me so happy to think there's a possibility, I really want blue eggs. Thanks for the response😊!

Thank you for the response! I'm curious what makes you guess EE? I'm not super great at guessing mixes so I'm trying to learn😁!
Not sure what whittni sees specifically but i can tell you why I think EE. For me, it's the head shape. She doesn't have a lot of facial feathers, but more than a normal non-bearded chicken.

Her face reminds me a bit of my EE Rose. I'd say the ameraucana/australorp is the father. My guess is the EE or olive egger for the mom.
