What breed is this?

If anyone can help me identify what breed this chicken is I would greatly appreciate it. The person I bought her from said she was a Speckled Sussex. However, she doesn't look like my others. She is dark brown with some gold on her. I don't see any white "speckles" like the others. Thanks in advance for your help.

Either a Welsummer or Brown Leghorn, depending on her earlobe color as she gets older.

Looks to be a Brown Leghorn...if the chest is a chestnut brown color that matches the back....then you should look for white earlobes when it is older as the other poster stated.

If Welsummer, you will see a salmon chest on females, black chest on males, and red earlobe when older.

X 2 - and, for what it's worth, the chicks of both are often confused with the chicks of the speckled sussex.

Her chest is the same color as the feathers on the back of her neck-so I guess that means a brown leghorn.
