What breed is your favorite in your flock?

Pics
My favorite breed is definitely my Easter Eggers. All five of the ones that I've had have been total attention hogs, following me around everywhere, jumping onto my lap, and loving hugs. I hatched eggs from some of them, and got one little hen, Holly, who is the sweetest girl ever. She's very pushy, though, and extremely jealous if I don't give her enough attention. Here she is, along with her mom.

My absolute favorites are my Seramas, Silkies, Silkie/Sebrights, Ameraucanas, EES, and Black Australorps. Certain individuals within these breeds are especially sweet; they rate very high on the cuddle and friendly scale. 😊

Well, Up to about 2 months ago, Id have said my golden comet, she's always pesty but happy to see me, even if she's constantly under foot.

at 2 months ago id have said my barred rock, as baby girl was just a cuddle magnet. Now for some reason she want's no part of me. Not sure if it's a teenager thing or what but she isn't friendly anymore for some odd reason. So were back to Captain Fluffy of the Comet Fleet.

Those pics of the chicken on the car seat. Too awesome, but one cecal shot and you got a HORRIBLE mess that isn't just a kleenex squeeze to clean.

Id have paco in the truck with me much more often but he gets carsick, He's FINE in the boat but gets sick in the car, go figure that one out ???

When I first started I had Cochin bantams, but now I have large chickens so I've got 3 Rhode island reds, 2 cuckoo marans, 2 brown leghorns, and a Rhode island red rooster. The white egg layers are fun to watch, but I like the R.I. reds.

I have a mixed flock and my favorite is my polish. She’s the smallest and she’s very sweet and always ready to sit on my shoulder and just hang out. She had several near death experiences in the first few days and weeks of life, so she was handled and hand fed much more than the others so we developed a great bond. She did experience some bullying in the beginning when the pecking order was being established, but using Peck-no-More on a consistent basis helped out. I think it was her polish-poof that caused all the ruckus. My next favorite is my blue Cochin. She’s slow and sweet and kind of a scaredy cat. Her size and weight cause her not to be able to be as quick as the other gals.

I have Marans, Ameraucana, a Guinea, and Turkey’s in my flock, and the most affectionate by far is my bronze turney hen. But as far as chickens, I have one Marans that is more cuddly then the others, and one Ameracuana that is more cuddly. 😅

Of all of mine my little rooster Charlie has to be my favorite. I haven't had him that long but he is a trip to watch. Charlie is a silver duck wing old english game bantam, he hatched in March of this year and he thinks he is just as big as the standard hens. He struts, chases the hens, and crows all day, he thinks he is doing the hens some good but he's not. And I love just sitting outside watching him. : )
