This hen was gifted to me with no background details. Any ideas? She’s not laying so don’t have any egg color to consider. Age is also a mystery. Thank you.

Definitely not a partridge rock. I'm guessing she's either an Australorp or a black star. More likely an Australorp.

That hen looks dark brown, not black. Look up Partridge Rock chicken. They're a heritage breed and do look similar to the photo. Hoovers Hatchery sells them.

Australorps and Black Stars are all black, aside from the red around some Stars hackles. This lady is partridge.

That's a partridge gamebird. Partridge is the name of one of the many chicken patterns. Plymouth Rocks, sometimes just called Rocks, are a breed of chicken.

That is a picture of a Chukar bird

Chukars are sandy brown overall with bold, vertical black bars on the sides. A dark band through the eyes wraps around the white cheek and throat. A red bill and eyering tops off the look.
