i have no idea what breed this chook is? it looks kind of bantam-ish, but its to big please help!

The Black Sex Link isn't a breed at all, but an intentional mix or cross.

When a Red cock is put over a Barred Rock hen, the result is this. The males turn out similar to their Barred Rock mother, but with red leakage, while the the females turn out black with red leakage in the neck and breast. As hatched, these chicks can be immediately "sexed", which is what people want, the ability to sex at hatch.

No one can say for 100% certainty that your bird is a black sex link, but it has that kind of appearance. It could, however, be a host of other things. Sometimes mixes just sort of have that look to them. Certain Marans and Marans mixes can also look a bit like that. Anytime red birds and black birds get mixed, this look is possible.

Black sex links are a medium size chicken, considered a standard size, they lay eggs very well.
