What breed of chicken is this?

Is the black one a silkie or polish? Both are about 12 weeks old. And do they both look like pullets?

Looks like a polish mix to me. The silkies have stringy feathers, purple skin, and dark eyes. For the polish, they have a v comb so when they are young it looks like they have abnormal noses. If it is a male by now you would see red in the comb. If you don't any see any red on their comb then they are most likely female.

They aren't silkies. Silkies has black skin all over along with feather feet.

The first is a Crevecoeur and the second is a mottled Houdan.

Thank you! They were selling silkies and assorted crested & polish chicks I just assumed they were all polish!

Yeah the sold it as a silkie she used to have feathers on her feet until she started molting

Yeah I thought that was weird too so I thought she was a silkie until she got the crest two weeks ago
