What breed of chicken should I get?

For friendly I would say Salmon Faverolles, Brahmas, or Orpingtons. Salmon Faverolles are unique looking in their own way. Brahmas & Orpingtons have different colors/patterns depending on where you are ordering from. Good luck! Please let us know what you decide!

Here is a Salmon Faverolles pic I found online:

Thank you for the suggestions! I will research those breeds! I also have another question: What kind of chicken are these? I really like the coloring on it. ( got this pic from the internet) If this is a bantam is there any chicken that looks like this that is not a bantam?

That's a Sebright I would recommend them. But the golden laced polish are great to. They are a lot bigger though.

Golden Laced Polish. The problem with polishes is that they can be kinda skittish.

Hello! We are going to get some more chickens, since we just got rid of 16. We are getting 4 white leghorn hens ( for egg production ) and I am allowed to get 1 special chicken of any breed! No bantams because our roosters are too big for them. Here is what I am looking for in a chicken:

~They are beautiful

~They are nice

~They are tame

That's all I'm looking for in a chicken! Any suggestions on what breed to get? 🥰
I really like French Black copper Marans. Big, beautiful and very Friendly.

Green queens are my favorites! They are our friendliest chickens (besides ThinMint) on our farm! I'm pretty sure that green queens have salmon faverolle and silkie in them. One of our green queens looks like a pure satin silkie! And we used to have one that mirrored the salmon faverolle pattern. They are beautiful birds and extremely friendly!

I agree, Wyandotte’s are lovely, and you can even have lots of separate colors within the same breed!

I have personally loved my experiences with “Color Pack” chickens… they are Easter Eggers, but with Legbar instead of Americana blue genes. They are inquisitive, gentle, and have always given us lovely green eggs. They’re pretty prolific layers in our experience. Similar size to a Leghorn. Varying shades of red/orange/buff, some nearly a platinum blonde. All with some variance of grey or black speckles in their saddle and or neck feathers. About 2/3rds of the ones we’ve gotten have had small crests/Mohawks.
