Besides what I voted above, I have a Sebright, a Cochin, a Welsummer, and a red sexlink.

I love them ALL... except the Sebright, but I only take issue with the fact that he tries to kill me at least 1x/month. Good thing he's good to my girls, and he's tiny....

They were nice. I didn't get eggs from either, so I can't compare them to that category.

I currently have 6 New Hampshire Reds and 2 Blue Cochins who will be 5 years old next spring. I had 8 Delawares in the same batch of chicks; they were the worst chickens I ever had and I'll never get that breed again. They just didn't thrive and last fall I got rid of the remaining ones in disgust. This spring I ordered 10 Sapphire Gems from Jenks. The Post Office beat them up so bad (our tax dollars at work!) that only 6 made it, but they are doing great and are beautiful. They should start laying later this summer.
