What breed of duck are we?

These three were old balls in the bunch of ducklings from the TSC duck bin and the man watching the bins said they were Mallards. They are definitely NOT mallards! I have little cousin that is in love with ducks, so these are for her (they will stay with me though, since her mama is one of those animals-are-nasty people).

The big yellow one is a crested Pekin. I have a soft spot for crested ducks since that was my first duck was a crested fawn & white runner.

What breed do you think the black and white ones are? Could they be Magpies?

They look sorta like the muscovy ducklings (more like them than any other breed, but a lot of the breeds listed don;t have duckling photos) on feathersite.

I was going to say magpie, but looks like you are leaning that way too, probley a good guess

Its hard to tell in the photo but usually if their bill is pink it means muscovy, otherwise they look like magpies.

That one duckling's foot looks like it had been walking around in ink. Definitely are cute.

Here's what my white muscovy ducklings looked like at less than a day old.

I googled up images and yours looks like they could be either chocolate magpies or chocolate muscovies. The head shape on yours looks more like the magpies from the angle the bill is with the forehead.
