What breed of Geese? - PICS

So these are my two Hatcheries choice geese from Ideal. They are just under 3 months. Do you think they are African, Brown Chinese, what?

they look just like my brown chinese but they also look like african geese both breeds look a like

i think of chinese geese as having the oddly shaped beak that goes higher up the forehead. google a picture of brown chinese goose and see if the beak looks different to you.

I actually went on Feathersite. The Brown Chinese have the knob on their head and the Aftrican have extra skin under their chin. My don't have either, but then are not yet 3 months. I guess I need to continue to wait and see.

they look like my african geese as far as sexing them that is another story

I bet teh one in front is a male (it has it's head up....many geese owners on here have said that the males are hte ones that display like that).

Im pretty sure those are africans. But they dont have a knob.

So, Im thinking they are Brown African, Toulouse mix. They dont look pure.

They're definitely Africans and are probably pure - I have a few that are about the same age and they look identical. Africans don't develop the dewlap until they are older. I've heard that you actually don't want to keep Africans that develop the dewlap early on, though I don't know the reasoning.

Africans have a much thicker body and neck than the Brown Chinese, and usually you can tell the difference between the two that way, even with poor quality Chinese.

They look like Africans to me, but should have the knobs.. so they just haven't developed yet, or they're hybrids.

They are not chinese, though. The body shape is wrong.
