What breed or Xbreed is my boy Shanti?

we think he’s pretty but have no clue what his breed is. He’s a sweet rooster. 4 years old, he does not like to be picked up anymore, except when he is on his roost. He used to sit on my lap all the time when he was young. But he is a real gentleman.

Could be a new Hampshire, but I'm not very familiar with the breed.

Looks similar to a New Hamp Red, but doesn't look pure to me. Maybe hatchery quality.

Thank you. I'll look up all the pictures of New Hampshire and red new Hampshire. I'll have a morning to enjoy pictures.

Update: I looked at all the pictures. With his more yellow color, could he be mixed with buff orpington? He originally came from a feed store. And they get their chicks from Hackle hatchery and Hoover hatchery.

Wow, he's a beautiful guy! My guess would be a New Hampshire Red also.
