I currently have 5 White Leghorns, 6 Brown Leghorns, and a California White - all hens. They just started laying this week.

We're looking to get 6 more chicks, including Buff Orpingtons, New Hampshire Reds and Ameraucanas. We'd like to get one rooster. Of these breeds, which is the best rooster?

I guess another questions is, are these breeds all good together? We are going to keep the new chicks in a parallel pen for a few months before we put them together.

Your NH Reds will be your more dominant breed probably in a pen with all these birds. I would not get a roo from this breed. They can be a bit much to handle.
I must say I like a Buff Orp roo very much but if you want to raise chicks and have some cool egg layers later on then I vote for a Ameraucana roo.
Even though you have the older hens I am betting they will get picked on more when the other group gets older. Unless you free range. That would help a lot.
Just mho.

if you can get an Araucana roo they seem to be the sweetest, at least I think so, but may other people think so too, they also, at leats mine also gets along with other roos! he is such a good boy, his name is Alabaster and can be seen on my page

In GENERAL, studies have shown that roosters from the egg laying breeds are supposed to be gentler than the breeds for meat production. Generally, Dual purpose breeds are somewhere in the middle & can be one way or the other.

stay with the araucan roo if you want more layers....plus they are not that big and wont put that much weight on the poors hen´s back...and blue/green eggs...you got a keeper..
