I bought these hens from a backyard hobby breeder. Hind sight being 20/20, I shouldn't have. She was selling them as Serama's. If they are, they are poorly bred. I just came across some info on Nankins and am now wondering if the girls are in fact Nankins? Is there any decisive way to find out?
The roo seems very Serama to me, but has some length to his back and white legs no he will not be part of my project. The girls though have a lighter tinge to their comb and wattles.
Here is the roo I bought from the same woman. He seems more Serama than not....but Im not sure.
Lena - Tacoma, WA
2 Golden Sex links, 2 Black copper Marans, 1 Faverolle, 1 white Ameraucauna, 1 RIR, 1 Welsummer.... 2 white call ducks, 3 bantams (Serama? Roo and 2 hens)...... Waiting the arrival of a Serama pullet and cockerel from Pixie Chick this week!
