What breed (& sex) are my son's science class chickens?

My son brought these 2 cuties home from his science class. I'm trying to figure out what breed they are. I also don't know if they are pullets/cockerels and would appreciate any educated guesses. They are between 4-5 weeks old.

It's easiest to sex them around 8-10 weeks old. The top is some kind of frizzle, I don't really know about the bottom

top one looks to be a frizzled bantam Cochin, which will sport a redder bigger comb by 2 to 3 months of age if male. Pullets will wait until point of lay to get a red comb of moderate size.

bottom one could be a number of things from White Leghorn to even possibly Cornish Cross....what kind of comb does it have...can you get a comb shot? If WL again the comb will give away the rooster by 2 months of age. If Cornish Cross, it will grow a LOT bigger and be nearly full size by 2 months of age, again males having a large red comb.
