This may be the greatest thing anyone has ever written on BYC.ROTFL! - I picture if you have a drake you will be shouting at them: »Orange! Get off Grapefruit! We don't need more Clementines!«![]()

I tend to name mine after I see what their personalities are. I like the name to fit the personality. It usually takes me weeks to name mine.
I figure they'll grow into their names. Like my Sebright who was *supposed* to be a girl. His name is Picotee. Kind of a feminine name, but it fits, esp since his feathers are laced.I do the very same thing! I call it the duck has to earn her/his name.
Nothing worse than naming a duck »Daisy« and it turned out to be a serial rapist drake…
I was a lil worried the way your list started...I can come up with names for white dux:
Adolph
Stalin
Vlad
Heinrich
Saddam
Idi
Kimsum
Leopold
Ayatollah
Ghengis
Biden
Mao
These are all suitable dux names.
She looks like a sweetheart, it’s too bad she has Dux for neighbors.I was a lil worried the way your list started...
None of my duck breeds will be white. I DO have a white chicken, however. Her name is Iris, and I love her!

Out of those I would probably pick Apricot, Mango, Marmalade, and Fig. All of them are such cute names!I choose themes. My chickens are flowers. My cats are artists. My ducks will be fruit - lol: Fig, Clementine, Persimmon, and Mango. Or Apricot. Or Marmalade.
