What Breed Should I Get?

Pics
I haven't read through all the replies but has anybody mentioned khaki campbells? Earlier this year we got some and they were very tame birds, and from research I did they seem to be popular due to their great temperament, actually some sites I think had them listed as the tamest ducks, and also because of their great laying rate. Also they're just adorable.

Awe! Cute! I always thought Peaches would be cute for fawn and white runner hen !
That’s really neat!
I was trying to send pictures of my little ducks but the website won’t let me.
I'd love to see!!!!!

I just realized.... Adding ducks to my chicken yard.... Will my roo be ok with them? He's totally chill with my dogs and cats. But they don't stay down in the yard all day. I can separate them if I need to, but I'd rather not. It will cut down on the amount of space they have to roam. The ducks will waaay outweigh him. He weighs just over a pound, but he is feisty! I'll dull his spurs, too.

Doh! Gotta think about these things sooner!

Yes, a few people did. They are very pretty! Do you gave ducks? I'm so curious to hear everyone's duck info.

So chickens and ducks are made different. If a male duck breeds with a chicken it probably will kill the hen. I’m not 100% on roosters with ducks hens. I’m assuming it is not good. Some chickens will think ducks have shiny eyes and try pecking them. If your rooster breeds your ducks and you want to hatch the ducks eggs you won’t be able to then. So I’m not a hundred percent on the roosters with the ducks but I do know chickens will sometimes peck at the ducks. But a lot of people do keep them together

Yes! It Was so fun and finally having them hatch was amazing. It was very stressful tho! I lost 3 babies in the process 😢 so that was stressful especially cuz I didn’t know what I was doing and this website was the only thing directing me! But finally having the babies was so fun! I have a whole closet for them😂😂😂 bows, dresses, Santa hats, etc! They are the best things everrrrrr

We've had ducks off and on for years along with all the other animals on the farm. We've had mallards (my least favorite) pekins, which were one of my favorites as they were so tame, indian runners which were my favorites in regards to appearance. I'd like to get indian runners again someday and muscovies.

Right now, no, we don't have any. I'll spoiler this as it may be sad to read so click at your own risk.
So basically earlier this year my mom picked up some khaki campbells, we have a pond and all was great for months. Then when they got older.. they became little terrorizers. They just wouldn't go in the pond at all anymore. No idea why. Maybe they had an encounter with a turtle or something that scared them off, who knows honestly. We never had issues like this before, ever. Maybe they were just too curious, I mean they did seem to always have to be in everybody's business. If I was down there they would follow me and stuff.

So, they would wander down to the coop and barn, and every single day they would play in the chicken's water and dirty it, and did the same with my livestock's water. Not to mention even though they had their own food, they would make a complete mess of the chicken's feed, wasting a bunch all over the ground. So picture this, I'm going down and making the trip to the water spicket multiple times a day to not only refill two things of water but clean them. I did not enjoy it at all, trust me, but they had to go.

Here's some photos of them though
