What breed?

Hi there! This chick is about 2 weeks old. Not sure if you’ll be able to figure out at this age. I have no idea what breed and I even looked at an identification chart. Any help is appreciated!

It's too young to say for sure, easier to wait until it's about 8 ish weeks and fully feathered, post some more pictures then

At this age it's very difficult looking around at chicken breeds it age like look up what you think it might be like

Are these photos current? I ask because they do not show a chick that is 2 weeks old in feathering. How long have you had the chicken your possession? Did you obtain the chick from a private seller breeding from their own flock

I got the chick from a local teacher who was hatching chicks in her classroom. She couldn’t remember what breed so I figured I’d find out eventually. The problem is I’m thinking it’s a rooster so we will have to figure out what to do about that. Thanks for your help. I’ll ask again once feathers are in.

This chick was born on March 7th. I got him/her from a local teacher who was hatching chicks in the classroom. It was a last minute thing and I am starting to regret it

I think it looks kind of like a silver laced Cochin

Do you only have this one chick? Chickens need to have other chickens for company, at least 3 in a group
