What Breed???

I had another rooster dropped off on my property. He is kinda of a jerk. He comes after me when I turn my back on him. I was just wondering if anybody knew what Breed he is, and how to stop him from attacking when my back is turned.

To get him to stop attacking you hold him and pet him. That will make him feel a certain control under you.

Yep. I punished mine by carrying him around the yard for 20+ minutes. I won't lie and say I pet him, but I made him put up with a mite/lice inspection, tail feather to beak once over while holding him down, and he did get index finger pecks on the head.

With that long tail, he might be a Phoenix (breed, not mythological bird.)

There are various solutions for nasty roosters--I would butcher him and make chicken soup. It is a permanent solution, but I know it's not for everyone.
