What breed?

This hen is one of 7 that was sold as Sapphire Gems. She’s been laying green eggs….finally caught her as to the one doing it. So, is she actually an Easter egger?

Sapphire Olive Egger. A cross between a CCLB or Partridge Olive Egger and a Sapphire gem. My friend has one too! Same blue barring and little top hat.

Also…..in the same bunch….I know I have one rooster….he’s crowing and everything. Tonight however, I got to noticing one of the others tail feathers. Think this is another rooster, or just another hen? Haven’t noticed any crowing….like I said, just noticed tail feathers.

Also…..in the same bunch….I know I have one rooster….he’s crowing and everything. Tonight however, I got to noticing one of the others tail feathers. I think he is a rooster! He has saddle feathers.

This is a cockerel. Not because of the tail though. Those male specific saddle feathers, hackles, and comb/wattle development give it away.
