I got these two chicks from a silkie breeder. I'm starting to think the white one isn't just silkie and maybe a sizzle. Just wanted to share:):love

Sooooo adorable! Definitely looks frizzlish. I got a frizzle surprise recently too and can’t say I’m disappointed! 😍
The only problem is that I live in Oregon, and it gets below freezing in the winter. I had asked for silkies and the breeder didn't mention any chances of getting a sizzle. I had already planned on giving them extra care for the winter because silkies aren't very hardy, but I've noticed she gets colder a lot easier than the silkie. She's super cute though.🤷‍♀️

I’m in southern Ontario… I feel your pain. My 3.5 month olds are still in the basement in a makeshift run. It’s still dropping below freezing here and the coop isn’t quite ready yet. I won’t move them to their permanent home until after the last frost to be safe, and even so I’m anxious about it! I’ve done so much reading and there are many mixed thoughts/recommended approaches to keeping silkies in cold weather!
