Where did you get her?

I got her from a local woman who sells chickens. She didn’t say what kind this baby was…she was a nondescript gray color as a chick. She’s turned out beautifully!

I was wondering if that could be the case!! Wouldn’t she lay reddish eggs if she is a Blue Copper?

My next guess would be a production blue.

That red shoulder isn't typical to the BC Maran, but she may have that in her parentage. If that is true she will have eggs that are a little darker brown than usual.

I have a chick about 3 mos old that looks like her. I was wanting Austrolorps, so I bought 2 black and 2 blue, but 1 definitely looks like yours, I know that Austrolorps were made by breeding orpingtons and rir etc, and she had a few jersey giants, and a huge beautiful Easter Egger Roo. So who knows LOLOL
She's Beautiful though so not disappointed at all !!
