What breed?

My guess is a frizzle cross, but we bought "black copper maran" hatching eggs and I think somehow the frizzle genes came in, I don't think they were marans, more of just a barnyard mix.

Probably frizzle Cochin mix. That's a long way from Marans.

He also has 5 toes, I don't know if that changes anything, and why would you say bantam Cochin, not full size?

You got him from where? 5 toes is a silkie gene so if not a frizzle cochin, sounds like a bantam cochin/silkie mix. Bantam because my standard cochins, even the smaller ones were bigger at this age. Since he is definitely a mix with five toes, he will probably vary in size versus a true bantam, but will probably still be on the small side if he has a silkie parent since silkies are so small

We got him from a lady on Facebook claiming to have black copper maran hatching eggs, we got to the farm, and there were miscalanious chicken breeds. So I have no info on genetics.
