What Breed

I have 2 BSLs, one has some gold on the neck, and the other has LOTS of the gold feathering around the neck and down the breast. The darker one lays brown, the other lays speckled!

9 months old, sweet girls.

Although I don't think we'll get any more black anything - every one of our black chickens had a super-hard time with the heat, and our summers are getting hotter.
The only others who had to spend time in sickbay were 2 of our elders, 7 & 8 yrs.

Black sex-links can be mixes of different breeds and so can end up looking a little bit different when they mature, especially in color -- all that matters is that the two breeds used to create the chick results in a sex link chick.
