what breed

Andrew: Yours has silkie crest and skin coloring but the feathers and their colors suggest maybe a wyandotte or cochin cross. Maybe a third generation cross or something because the feathers are so solid except for crest. She's cute.

Actually I just saw a picture of a blue copper maran and the coloring is perfect to that. Silkie maran cross. Cool

could someone help me find put what this chicken is? well she was hatched in january i saved her from below freezing amd i call her lucky. if i yell lucky she comes running to me. i dont know her breed but she took babies from a mother who didnt want them. she took them right away and i want to get moe! thanks

Mymilliefleur: I've been thinking he's a cross but was told he came from a local feed store. He was also a she when I got him and that was already suspect. His dark red is really beautiful though.

Kaestark: Her feathers look fuzzy. Is that blurring due to camera or are they fuzzy? I'd say a silkie cross.

@cluckyMiss its a camera malfunction. the breeder sounded like he said a japanese something but then a sumara sound but im not sure

Interesting. Are you sure it's a hen? That's a tall comb. Does she has thin feathers just before her tail feathers spike?

@CluckyMiss they are not as spikey but actually just got called from the breeder. its a Malaysian Sumara! its actually a standard breed even though they are small. i am actually getting bantam ones now which are the smallest breed in the world! thanks for helping!

For the chicken on the front page, it looks like a partridge silkie mixed with a silver cochin.
