Hi can anyone tell me what I should pay for laying hamburg hens. They are 1 year old laying currently

Laying hens can run a fairly wide spectrum of the expected price range - one thing to consider is the quality of the birds and what you are purchasing them for (ie exhibition breeding stock or simple egg production).

I usually get $20 each for year old layers, but the price can vary a bit regionally. I wouldn't pay much more than that, unless you really, really want the breed and are willing to pay more.

x2 ...but I am also in Oregon...but in the "pricier" metro influenced area.

Most POL pullets are $15 to $20 here. Some specialty breeds can be $30, or even more for really rare types.

Look at Craigslist in your area, and you can get a sense for where the market is.
