What breeds are "hot" for 2010?

I think the ladies are still craving those Silkies, and Cochins....and you will see a whole new crowd interested in those adorable Call ducks!


The men are after light Sussex and those large, darker shades of Orpingtons.


What breeds do you think??

I was going to say Silkies.

Heritage breeds are becoming more popular again, as well. (IMO.)

I am going for Silkies, the Sizzels, amd exotics like the the Sumatra, or atleast that is what I am after.

The newly available Sussex colors are pretty "hot" right now. Seems like the Marans craze is fading a bit. I'm staying away from both, trying to find more BW Ameracaunas. I think they're "the one" for me, but I'm going to make more BBS Orps too because they're so cute and fluffy free-ranging

I think that corronation Sussex is the hot bird of the season, and lav silkies. At least thats what is hot to me lol. Cant afford the corronation Sussex though so I am making my own that will be an EE but have the same coloring, I hope anyay

oh I never thought of that. wouldnt that be awesome!!!! I have yet to even get the F1 pair to mate so its gonna be a long road. By accident I got a bantam cockerel to go over a very large hen so I think that AI will be needed.
