I agree. It's too early to be correctly determining breed and gender - the other chicken is probably Golden Comet or Red Sex - link.The chick could be any one of many breeds - too young to accurately determine. The other appears to be a red sex link of some sort.

The baby was found playing in traffic along our busy main street so not sure on where it's from.The little bit of eyeliner is atypical for Rhode Island reds, but otherwise she looks like one. Or it could be one of many hybrids offered by the hatcheries, if that was the source of the chick. Time will tell.
