There was 2 other rooster that where in the 1st batch I got, They have been gone for well over a month, the girls pay him no mind as if he was a roo.. Oh I am so upset, what am I going to do with all these roosters... Everyone is sure all but that first 1, ALL Roos, I mean OMG..if there are other roosters around he may never crow and being low in the pecking order may also keep him from crowing
Yes, if he is indeed a rooster, he is gay as a jay bird.. I was thinking it deep down.. watching his feather mature.. sigh.. As long as he does not crow, he can stay. the others have to go, i am calling the lady I got them from.. How hard is it to get rid Roos?Well at least you have lots to chose from. I find a really good rooster who is nice to you and the hens sometimes hard to come by. I'd pick the best rooster and rehome the others. I find the coop calmest and most happy when there is only one rooster with a group of hens.
A rooster will always crow eventually, sorry. But you can put them on creigslist or put adds around town or at a feed store. I hope that helps.Yes, if he is indeed a rooster, he is gay as a jay bird.. I was thinking it deep down.. watching his feather mature.. sigh.. Thank you! I have been posting them all over! I ask no questions for whomever wants them.( To a certain degree anyway). The Silkie I had all ready found a home! 4 more to go! lolDepends on your location, marketing and breed. Spring seems to be a better time than winter to unload roosters. If you don't want them eaten you should say so and go with your instincts. Craigslist, a pic at the local feed store, here... A few places to start. Pictures and a description of personality moves them.
