Our LF Araucana sure fly well, unlike our Orpingtons as they cant get out of there own way to get up over a 4ft fence, the araucana will fly straight up and over an 8ft fence no problem(there runs are topped with netting)..
So the araucanas wild side sure can come out of them when they want it to..

when determined my Dutch banties can go 20 ft up into a tree. My Cochin can barely make it up onto a 2 ft high roost. None of my orps or wyanndottes have ever tried to get out even a 2 ft fence though they could if they wanted to.

my adult phoenix fly up to the tops of the trees and the young ones roost lower

i've seen my jap bantam fly clear across the yard into a tree to get away from a few roosters, i had a silver spangles hamburg that could really have at it she could go 12 feet up into the rafters of my barn
