What breeds of chickens do you have?

My silkies are still young. I love them.

They are very social with me and each other. I keep them inside and besides daily vacuuming they are cleaner then my dogs and cats. Very quiet at night. As soon as the lights go out they get snugged in and I don't hear them until morning. I take them out every evening to play in the yard and hold and give them treats as much through the day as I can. I'm waiting until they are big enough to put the diapers on them to let them roam the house. I'm also planning to bring them to work with me but again must wait for the diapers.

Listed in order of favorite to problematic .

White Orpington- Kentucky fried (tucky)
Buff orpington -Franchese (Fran)
2 SLW- velico and raptor (they are always neck and neck on each other)
2 Cuckoo Marans- no names yet
2 Amerucanas - "Goldie" and stupid1
2 welsummers- stupid 2 and Stupid 3

The welsummers- can't even seem to find the door out of the run some days. They better have pretty eggs, lol.

Small flock. I have one of each of the following: Appenzeller Spitzhauben, Sumatra, Fayoumi, Dominique, Welsummer, Easter Egger. I specifically got this variety for a colorful egg basket. I really like the look of the Appenzeller Spitzhauben and the Sumatra. I also really like (but have yet to own due to cost) Silkies, Ameraucanas, Sebrights, Orloffs, Deathlayers, and Ice Cream Bars. (I admit the last two are due to the fantastic names.)

I heard repeatedly that I shouldn't get the Fayoumi, Sumatra, and Appenzeller Spitzhauben because they would be too difficult to control, but I haven't yet had any major issues with them.
I've read about the deathlayers! I'll have to look into ice cream bars lol. They're so cool to watch play, and interact. We do have two polish and they're so funny!
