What breeds of chickens, ducks, turkeys, and other fowl do you have? Do you have a large flock or small flock? What's your favorite breeds? Why does everybody have their chickens for? I can research, and read all about different breeds, but nothings better than real advice and opinions from real people. Thanks!

Just Buff Orpingtons so far. I did have Wyandottes and Barred Rocks at one point but I was overcrowded and decided to keep the Orps only.
I don't have any of those yet. They must be a great breed though because so many people have them. :)

I have 1 Ameraucana, 1 olive egger, 2 barred rock, 2 Black Copper Marans and 5 Welsummers . I have mine for eggs and they do help with keeping the bug population down around my house. I really don't have a favorite they all have their own personality and are pretty entertaining.

I love them! They are really easy to handle. When they were juveniles, not as much, but after they started laying they got so calm.

We have Japanese and Button quail. And chickens! I love my bantam chickens. We have 3 Old English Game bantams, 2 Pekin (Cochin) bantams, 2 Booted bantams, one Silkie bantam, 2 Wyandotte bantams, then we have 2 French Houdan, 2 English Araucana, and 2 Orpingtons. They are pets first and foremost.

3 buff orpingtons, 3 black australorps and 3 barred rocks.. they are 14 months old and all get along so great.. all friendly breeds..

Those are pretty girls! I would consider getting more Barred Rocks when I get to point I can house more chickens. They were also nice chickens. Not as wild as the Wyandottes were, but spunkier than my Buffs.

I have one six year old California Grey, and five that are 12 weeks old: Golden Comet, Black Australorp, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Easter Egger, and Cuckoo Marans. Hopefully they are all pullets, but the jury is still out on the Wyandotte.

I've had two at a time for about 8 years, at first because my son wanted them, and I like having them for eggs and as pets.
