What breeds of hens do you have in your flock?

Are you going to hatch some chicks come spring?

No. I'd need to build another coop and pen to house more chickens. However, I might be convinced to build again to preserve a rare, nearly extinct breed suitable for southern climate conditions.

Too bad! So many people would love to have one of Stan's young

He's such a studly guy

Stan thinks he's the man, but he's not a bird worthy of passing his genetic material to improve the Jersey Giant as a breed. He sure is easy to look at though!

He's a rooster who needs reminding of his place. While he's not one to charge nor does he try to fight you through the fence, he will get 'roosterly' if you mess with his hens. But since he's not gamey he is easy to convince to look the other way. He's very fond of the camera, though..... strange bird.

I find my cockerel, Jagger will focus on the camera if I have it on auto focus. He likes the sound and movement

By being roosterly, do you mean charges you when you are making his hens squawk?

I have these hens/pullets
1 White Wyandotte
1 Buff orpington
1 EE
1 Barred Rock
1 Silver laced Wyandotte
2 Delawares
4 Speckled Sussex
3 Black Sexlinks
2 White Rocks

The boys will be getting some more gals come spring so each rooster has 9 hens.

Roos

EE
White Wyandotte
Delaware
Speckled Sussex
Oops forgot my Crippled Roo Hobbles he's a GLW but will never be a real rooster........... he can barely get around so breeding a hen would be impossible for him.
