Sorry...in my opinionWhat is IMO?
pssssh they absolutely are the prettiest smhOh yeah and Muscovys are always the quietest, calmest ducks and they’re one of the only ones that are almost sure to go broody. IMO the only reason I don’t like them is bc they’re not the absolute prettiest in the world.
Thanks! That is a big list!Khaki Campbell’s lay the most eggs by far, jumbo Pekins are huge but they have health problems 99% of the time because they are big, mallards, Rouens, Cayugas, khaki Campbell’s, Pekins, welsh harlequins, Swedish and pretty much every duck is friendly, welsh harlequins and mallards are beautiful IMO, Swedish are very good layers as well, ummmm oh yeah and ducks with crests are absolutely gorgeous but their crests make them extremely sensitive to anything that will pull it
I will look into those!I still think they’re lovely! They’re just not my very first pickpssssh they absolutely are the prettiest smh
Haha sorryThanks! That is a big list!I will look into those!
I'm not sure if Wood ducks would do ok with the bigger domestics. Is there a way you could keep them separate?I have made my list!
- Welsh harlequin
- Wood duck
- Runner
- Swedish
- Maybe muscovy.
Lol! My wood ducks are the tamest ducks I've ever had. My hen nibbles my ankle until I pick her up and rub her crest.Awesome list! Wood ducks would be super cool! Though I would be worried about them flying off, but if they're gonna be in an enclosed run shouldn't be an issue. They definitely won't be nearly as friendly as the domestics though. If you are planning on getting a bunch throw a few Muscovy in just because their behavior really is so much different than other ducks and they are super fun to watch. Runners are always adorable too!
