There are a few exceptions, but for the most part white earlobes = white egg; red earlobes = brown eggs. Exceptions are Penedesencas and Empordanesas which have white earlobes but lay dark brown eggs; and Ameraucana, Araucana, and Easter Eggers which have red earlobes but lay blue/green eggs. Silkies have blue earlobes and lay cream or light brown eggs.Is it true that white earlobes indicate a white layer? Or is that a myth
