What bug is on the outside of my coop??

Not termites. Antannae are entirely different. I'd send that photo to your County Agricultural Extension Agency, entymology dept.

It would be the quickest and most accurate way of finding out what they are and how to deal with them.

If they are aphids, then soapy water will kull them within 24 hours. It removes their protein coating & they can not stay hydrated. They die of dehydration very quickly.

Just had to add this because I couldn't believe those were aphids!! I have only seen the small green ones! Those are crazy if they are aphids. I wonder what they are doing there!!!!!!

Can someone please tell me what kind of bug this is?? They are on the outside of he coop for now, tiny things about the air of a pen point. I checked one bird no bugs on her. This is my first year with chickens and it is winter here in MD. View attachment 1249151

STINK BUGS! I'm in MD and I have the dang things all year long. I hate them. I used to have a hen that would eat all the stink bugs off the outside of the house- that helped tremendously, but she is here no more.

Whoops- my intense hatred for the MD stink bug made me jump the gun! I didn't realize how small you said they are. They look like young stink bugs but I don't know if I have ever see them that small. Sorry. I just hate stink bugs.

I expected to see one bug and there's that many! I was thinking aphids too but they do look like stinkbugs as well.

All those aphids had two little horns that stick out on either side of the rear end. But OP's photo, those little guys don't have little butt spikes it looks like...
