We have a Kodak Easy Share. I think we paid $150 for it, but we also got an 8 gig memory card for it.

We have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18K. It is 8.1 megapixels with 18x optical zoom (and 4x digital zoom which is less important because it is essentially cropping). We LOVE it! The zoom is equivalent to a large zoom lens on a traditional SLR without having to lug it around. We enjoy backpacking and carrying the traditional SLR was heavy. This camera does everything we want plus more! It does video (with sound) as well! I think we paid $300 for it.

after shopping around, i'm thinking about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28S. its kinda expensive and online only, so i'll see how that works out. i'm still shopping.

LOVE my Nikon D60. I actually took some of my old Nikon lenses (don't use them anymore) in to the local camera store and did a trade, so I got the camera with two lenses for only $101.29!

I'll have to go search for some photos...but everyone who sees them swears they could not be digital!
