I have been having some trouble with baby chicks dyeing when they are a few day's old. They seem fine and then they just up and die. I keep food and water and also a light on them, with room for them to get away from the light, if they become too hot. Just discouraged after all the watching and turning the eggs daily, Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

I will be honest, I don't have an answer for you but hopefully this will bring you back to the top so someone can help you. I wish you all the best.

Have you put a thermometer in the coolest spot to see how cool it is? I did not realize mine was making it 105 and lost one chick and almost another one? But like the other post it could just be genetics. So sorry for you loss my heart breaks for you.
